2nd Forum of Rectors of Poland and Uzbekistan
The Rector of Pomeranian University in Słupsk, professor Zbigniew Osadowski, is participating in the 2nd Forum of Rectors of Poland and Uzbekistan, held on 23 April 2025 at the central campus of the University of Warsaw.
The Forum has been organised at the invitation of the Chair of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland, professor Bogumiła Kaniewska. More than 30 Polish universities are taking part in the event. The Forum is also attended by an academic delegation from Uzbekistan comprising nearly 50 representatives, led by Sarvarkhon Buzrukhonov, Deputy Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovation. The foreign delegation was welcomed by Andrzej Szeptycki, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland, who also delivered a speech during the Forum.
The main plenary session includes a special panel with the participation of academic grant agencies (NAWA, FRSE, NCBR), which will present funding opportunities for educational and research projects supported by EU programmes.
The Forum continues the efforts initiated at the first meeting of Rectors of Poland and Uzbekistan in 2023 and is part of a broader development of academic cooperation within the ongoing dialogue between Central Asian countries and the European Union.
Our University cooperates with Samarkand State Medical University under the “Double Degree” program.
