Our Students at the Erasmus+ Summer School in Ostrava

From 24 to 28 August 2026, a group of our students participated in the BIP Summer School programme “Climate-Resilient Critical Infrastructure”, organised by the Faculty of Safety Engineering at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava in the Czech Republic, in cooperation with our Institute of Security and Sociology. 
During the programme, the students expanded their knowledge of critical infrastructure, the impacts of climate change, and methods for identifying and assessing risks. They also explored issues related to preparing infrastructure for crisis situations. 


 

There was also plenty of time and energy for socialising. Joint games and activities provided a great opportunity to meet participants from other countries, exchange experiences and have fun together. This was another BIP programme within Erasmus+ in which our students have taken part, giving them the opportunity to gain international experience and establish connections with participants from other countries. 
We would like to extend our special thanks to Grzegorz Diemientiew, PhD, who initiated our group’s participation in the programme, and to Krzysztof Rogowski, PhD, who, together with Grzegorz Diemientiew, PhD, participated in the BIP and supported and supervised the students throughout the programme.
