Pomeranian University in Słupsk submitted 12 scientific disciplines for evaluation, achieving results that confirm the continued development of the University's research potential.

  • Law retained the prestigious Category A, and History joined this highest category.
  • Mathematics and Pedagogy advanced from Category B to Category B+, while Linguistics, Literary Studies, Biological Sciences, Medical Sciences, and Security Studies successfully maintained their Category B+ status.
  • Management and Quality Sciences were evaluated for the first time and were awarded Category B+.
  • As a result of these evaluations, our University now holds full degree-awarding powers in 10 disciplines, including the right to confer both doctoral (PhD) and postdoctoral (habilitation) degrees.
  • Socio-economic Geography was also evaluated for the first time and received Category B.

These achievements reflect the successful implementation of the University's development strategy.

Today, Pomeranian University in Słupsk holds the highest number of research disciplines with full academic degree-awarding powers in its history, reinforcing its academic independence and its ability to confer doctoral and postdoctoral degrees. These results further strengthen the University's position as a modern, dynamic academic institution - not only in the Central Pomerania region but also on the national stage.
