Prestigious American Grant Awarded to Natalia Kuzovova, PhD
We are pleased to announce that Natalia Kuzovova, PhD – a researcher from Kherson who found refuge at Pomeranian University in Słupsk following the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 – has been awarded a grant for the second time under the Scholar Rescue Fund (SRF) program, run by the Institute of International Education (IIE) in New York. Dr Kuzovova will receive funding for the period from 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2026.
Launched in 2002, the SRF program supports scholars who are persecuted or forced to flee their home institutions, enabling them to continue their academic work in safe conditions. To date, 1,155 scholars from 62 countries have benefited from this form of assistance.
Natalia Kuzovova is the first SRF fellow to carry out a research project at Pomeranian University in Słupsk. Her academic advisor is professor Robert Kuśnierz. Our university is also a member of the IIE-SRF Alliance – a global network of institutions and individuals offering practical support to displaced scholars.
We sincerely congratulate Natalia Kuzovova, PhD, and wish her continued success in her academic endeavors!
