As of 1 June 2023, Pomeranian University in Słupsk will transform into a full university. The status upgrade follows very high results obtained in the 2021 evaluation of research output. This is a historic moment for the entire academic community, our local environment and the entire region.
We are very pleased to inform you that on February 4, 2023, during a press conference organised at the premises of our University, Mr Piotr Müller, Polish MP and government press secretary, and Rector of Pomeranian University in Słupsk, professor Zbigniew Osadowski, jointly announced the initiation of the procedure aimed at transforming our institution into a full university.
Pomeranian University in Słupsk invites you to the final A+ Lecture, organised within the framework of the “Active University” public outreach programme. The event will take place on 17 January 2023 (Tuesday) at 12:00 (GMT+1). The lecture titled "Learning from experience: Key concepts of statistical thinking for the Humanities" will be delivered by professor Vaclav Brezina from the University of Lancaster.
Pomeranian Univeristy in Słupsk has distributed 59 scholarships to Ukrainian students currently realising semester exchange programmes. The “Pomeranian University for Ukraine” Scholarship Programme was launched in December 2022 and is an important element of our Support for Ukraine campaign.
On December 14, 2022, the Rector of Pomeranian University in Słupsk, professor Zbigniew Osadowski, signed an Agreement to extend cooperation with Jiyu Gakuen College in Tokyo for another 5 years. The act is an expression of strong cooperation between our University and the partner from Japan.
