We've received news regarding a positive application under the Eramus+ program!
On 7 July 2022, Rector of Pomeranian University in Słupsk, professor Zbigniew Osadowski and Rector of Vytautas Magnus University, professor Juozas Augutis, signed a cooperation agreement in the area of joint research and education. The agreement also initiates cultural exchange, including the promotion of Polish culture in the neighboring country.
The turn of June and July witnessed a visit of a delegation from Kherson State University, Ukraine, to our University. The representatives of KSU, namely professor Alla Tsapiv, Vice-rector for International Cooperation, and Yevheniia Revenko, head of the International Office, discussed new forms of cooperation, aiming at strengthening even more the fruitful cooperation between our universities. In particular, the discussions revolved around the new Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange programme, new double degree programmes, semester exchange mobilities, etc.
Faculty members and instructors from a number of Departments and Institutes of our University are taking part in a two-day training (27-28 June 2022) in “Advanced Digital Skills”. The training has been organised within the 3LoE Project - an international cooperation of 22 partners whose goal is to educate specialists for the green economy. The effects of the training in the form of educational materials and evaluation sheets will be shared with more than 60 international associated stakeholders. Our staff will use the knowledge and skills in their educational work, including in our Bachelor’s dual study programme “Logistics - Green Supply Chains” - a defining task in the 3LoE Project, entrusted in Pomeranian University in Słupsk.
Representatives of Jiyu Gakuen College and Pomeranian University in Słupsk met online on 22 June 2022 to confirm strong cooperation between the two institutions, draft future plans regarding staff and student exchange, and, above all, discuss the current situation of Ukrainian students at our University. Jiyu Gakuen has actively participated in our “Help Ukraine”campaign, raising the biggest amount of money.
The beginning of June (9-10 June) witnessed the 4th International Scientific Seminar titled: "The Reading of Abay: the history and perspectives of Kazakh culture". This year’s seminar was dedicated to the 150th birthday anniversary of the eminent Kazakh scholar and reformer, Akhmet Baitursynov.
