The ability to apply judo techniques in self-defence is intended to support the professional preparation of our graduates for potential risks they may encounter in their future work.
During the classes, students practiced selected judo techniques, including breakfalls, throws, holds, joint locks, and chokes. The participants learned how to apply judo in self-defence situations, such as: escaping from a grip on a jacket lapel (or hair), defending against punches from both left- and right-handed attackers, and breaking free from front and rear body grabs with immobilized or free arms.
Training also included defence against kicks and releasing oneself from a headlock under the arm.
At the end of the semester, a final session was held. It began with a joint warm-up, followed by demonstrations of the acquired skills. Commemorative photos were also taken with the instructor, Robert Bąk, PhD.
